The 2025 Volkswagen Atlas is an iconic full-size SUV teeming with practical features for adventurers and growing families.

Five Versatile Highlights of the 2025 Volkswagen Atlas

1. Configurable Cargo Space

The VW Atlas lets you change up the seating configuration on demand so you can make more room for large or extra-long cargo. The second-row bench seat has a 60/40 split that can be manually folded flat or reclined based on your needs. The fixed 50/50 split bench in the third row also manually folds and has adjustable head restraints to support taller riders.

With all seats upright, this SUV offers 20.6 cubic feet of storage space in the cargo area, so carrying large luggage isn’t a problem. Behind the second-row seats, you can load up 55.5 cubic feet of cargo, such as camping gear. Or you can fold both back seats flat to increase the cargo space to 96.8 cubic feet to haul long items or a drum kit.

2. Dynamic Front Lights

This SUV optimizes road visibility with projector bi-LED automatic headlights. Not only can these headlights turn on or off based on the outdoor lighting conditions, but they also auto-level on bumpy terrain so you can clearly see obstacles. The headlights are also directionally adaptive and come with cornering lights so you can ease your way around curbs and curves. Front fog lights are also standard.

3. Multifunctional Touchscreen

A 12-inch multimedia display is standard, along with a six-speaker audio system. As part of the multimedia package, drivers can connect Bluetooth-enabled devices or smartphones through App-Connect to access preferred media streaming services. A three-month trial for SiriusXM radio with commercial-free curated satellite radio stations is standard.

4. Climate-Controlled Cabin

The VW Atlas has several climate-controlled features, such as heated and ventilated front-row bucket seats. These power-adjustable seats can cycle through heat and cooling settings for optimal rider comfort in extreme weather situations. Climate-controlled seats give passengers the benefit of faster comfort since seat cushions adjust more quickly than the HVAC system. A heated, leatherette steering wheel is also standard.

This SUV has a dual-zone automatic climate control system so that front-row air conditioning can adapt to each rider’s preferred fan and cooling level. Rear HVAC auxiliary controls give back-row riders the ability to change air and heat settings independently. The HVAC system has underseat ducts and ducts installed in the headliner for comprehensive air circulation.

5. Adaptive Cruise Control

The VW Atlas is equipped with an adaptive cruise control system that can predict when to speed up or slow down. The adaptive cruise control technology reads the travel speed of the car ahead to keep pace with traffic, or it can function as traditional cruise control when the road ahead is clear. The cruise control system can be managed with steering wheel-mounted controls.
