Every major automaker flaunts professional photos of its vehicles in order to entice consumers to shop, but we wouldn’t typically consider these are in themselves. Even if the designs of the vehicles takes a certain eye for style and lines, the images themselves can be a bit predictable. A car in a garage, driving through a city at night or along a coastal highway – you get the idea. The new photos of the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon, however, are a bit different. These images were taken by the award-winning photographer Douglas Sonders for the Petersen Automotive Museum. These photos are meant to have a modern, techno vibe. What do you think? Touchscreen navigation in Volkswagen

How to use navigation in your Volkswagen

Possibly one of the most important features added to a vehicle is the navigation system. At least for those who frequently road trip to places unknown. This built-in function has all but erased the premise for many horror movies, as modern motorists would have to want to get lost in the woods. That is unless they don’t know how to use the navigation in their Volkswagen. Don’t be that person. We have everything you need to know about setting routes, using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto navigation and searching for points of interest. Read the rest of this entry »

Where to watch 2018 Tour de France Austin TX

Though Volkswagen has been a strong supporter of USA cycling in the past, the automaker has put a stronger emphasis on its motorsports focus for 2018. We thought for certain that the final word, based on a comment made at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, was that 2019 would be the last year for the model. More recently, though, the rumor mill has been putting out the idea that the 2020 Volkswagen Beetle could be an EV. Read the rest of this entry »

We’ve been waiting for the 2018 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb since March. Though it has been even longer since VW first hinted it would be entering the race with an all-electric car, it was in March that we first saw design sketches of the model. A month later, it was officially revealed. Yesterday, it was put to the test. The results were even better than expected, as it earned the all-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb record for its speed at the 2018 race. This means it not only beat other all-electric entries, but was faster than conventional vehicles. Read: Gasoline. Read the rest of this entry »
